Yesterday, one of my colleagues at work turned to ask me a question amidst all the calculations I was doing for the experiment that was half way. She asks "What do you want to be when you grown up?".
For a minute I thought she was joking, and I lifted my eyes for a second from what I was doing and gave her a smile and I realized she was very serious.. Being a post doc in a lab in one of the highest ranked institutions I could dream of... This question threw me aback.. And I slowly repeated the question inside my head to myself... "What do I want to be when I grow up"..?
Well as a kid I had a gazillion answers to this one question at different times and as years went by... They kept changing!
And at that moment I realized I still don't have an answer to the question... I dint know what I wanted do when I "grow up"!
